As a Sr Systems Test & Automation Engineer within our (BA) Building Automation business unit, specifically within the Fire Software team, you will be a key contributor to the development, testing and automation of software solutions for commercial fire safety and protection. In this role, you will leverage your expertise in product design, testing, and automation to create and enhance innovative fire safety software solutions. Your focus will be in ensuring that systems have the highest levels of safety, reliability, and functionality.

  • Develop and implement automated testing strategies to enhance product reliability and performance.
  • Utilize software solutions and APIs to build efficient testing frameworks.
  • Expertise in automation tools and frameworks to streamline testing processes and improve efficiency.
  • Optimize solutions that can effectively manage large-scale systems, ensuring they are efficient and robust across diverse operational environments.
  • Apply your embedded systems knowledge to support product design and troubleshooting, ensuring seamless integration between hardware and software components.
  • Support the integration of IoT technologies into fire safety software solutions, improving connectivity, functionality, and overall user experience.
  • Testing APIs to ensure proper communication and data exchange between IoT devices and back-end services.
  • Maintain a customer-centric approach throughout the product lifecycle.
  • Bachelor's degree from an accredited institution in a technical discipline such as the sciences, technology, engineering or mathematics.
  • A minimum of 6 years of experience in Automation, Test, software product design, and/or development.
  • Strong technical expertise in software solutions.
  • A degree in Computer Engineering, Computer Science, or a related field.
  • Experience with API development and automation in the context of product testing and development.
  • Expertise in Automation tools and frameworks (e.g., Selenium, Appium) to streamline testing processes and improve efficiency.
  • Familiarity with CI/CD practices and tools (e.g., Jenkins) to facilitate automated testing within the development pipeline.
  • Solid understanding of IoT solutions and their applications.
  • Demonstrated experience in scaling systems effectively.
  • Previous experience in a fast-paced software development environment.
  • Familiarity within building automation, fire safety or related domains.
