The Role: Vehicle Mechatronics Embedded Controls (VMEC) is responsible for designing, developing, and deploying the embedded controls and software for all vehicle systems and components that manage vehicle motion, vehicle access, vision & visibility and occupant position, protection, and comfort. The successful candidate will join Agile Scrum teams of approximately 10 members, responsible for developing Body Controls software & controls for all GM vehicles produced globally! Our Scrum teams work in an Agile framework and are responsible for Requirements, Software Development, and Testing & Verification. Our team is collaborative and will afford you the opportunity to work as part of a fun group whose product spans the entire GM portfolio! This req has multiple positions available in various areas of Body Controls such as Vehicle Lighting, Serial Data, Passive Authentication, Tire Pressure Monitoring, Power Glass and Shades, etc. The successful candidate will have further discussion during the interview process to determine exact placement based on business needs and skillset of the candidate. The Senior Sub-System Lead Engineer (SSLE) is an individual contributor with recognized expertise responsible for tasks and work throughout the entire vehicle development lifecycle including requirements definition, design and implementation, testing, and problem resolution. Agile, systems engineering, software design and release, requirements and embedded controls development and calibration knowledge/experience are a definite plus. You will work closely with multi-functional stakeholders (system engineers, software developers, testers, etc.) to support innovative technology development.
