About The Position

You will be the Software Quality Engineer Sr for the Lockheed Martin team in Chelmsford, MA. Requirements

  • STEM degree at Bachelors level or higher, preferably in one of the following disciplines: Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering or related discipline and/or equivalent professional experience.
  • Ability to obtain a secret security clearance.
  • Engineering or Quality experience developing methods, work instructions and procedures for the inspection of manufactured products.
  • Able to interpret drawings and specifications to develop and apply quality test and inspection methods and able to translate into work instruction.
  • Ability to interpret Drawings, Specifications, Contracts that will enable development and review of QE Processes, and related Performance Metrics.
  • Demonstrated understanding of audit techniques.
  • Demonstrated ability to use causal analysis tools to analyze and resolve technical/process issues varying from basic to very complex.
  • Experience in disposition of non-conforming products.
  • Experience in Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerance.
  • Knowledge of Configuration and Data Management.

Nice To Haves

  • Bachelors degree in a STEM related field or higher highly preferred.
  • Familiarity with electrical engineering discipline, and radio frequency design and test.
  • Ability to organize and track multiple activities and prioritize task based on importance.
  • Proficient skill level with Microsoft Office applications: Word, Excel, PowerPoint, etc.
  • Demonstrated presentation skills.
  • Ability to review, interpret and apply specifications to determine compliance with requirements.
  • Effective interpersonal skills, including team building and collaboration.
  • Demonstrated problem solving skills.
  • Effective communication skills - written, oral, listening, presentation and technical writing.
  • Experience with root cause analysis tools.
  • ASQ Certified Software Quality Engineer (CSQE)
  • Lean / Six Sigma Green or Black Belt Certification.
  • Experience with Government customers.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and maintain SSQE common processes aligned with AS9100, CMMI, and program requirements
  • Interface with systems and software development personnel, test and evaluation personnel, and project managers to ensure quality engineering processes are implemented
  • Collaborate with teams to identify and mitigate program risks and ensure delivery milestone schedules are met
  • Utilize excellent customer interface and presentation skills to communicate quality engineering processes and results
  • Work effectively in a team environment, leveraging interpersonal skills to drive quality engineering initiatives
