About The Position

Here at LendingClub as a Sr Software Engineer, you’ll work on the platform that is transforming the banking industry. We’re looking for talented Software Engineers passionate about building new applications from the ground up and who will join a growing team in developing the products that allow our depositors, borrowers and investors to achieve their financial goals. Requirements

6+ years of experience working with Java Web Services including knowledge of Spring and Micro-services architecture
You have strong database skills (SQL, MySQL, ORACLE)
You have hands on experience in AWS Cloud
You have experience working in B2C environments, collaborating with both business stakeholders and external platform providers to deliver integrated, customer-centric solutions
You have solid understanding of the software development life cycle focusing on the design, installation, and maintenance of systems projects of moderate complexity, and/or, under general supervision, in elements of major or complex systems
You can independently do business analysis, application design, project coordination, and system maintenance activities
You have excellent analysis capability and the ability to exercise sound technical judgment in making decisions
You have ability to lead medium to large projects and take full ownership of system/component from development to production
You have ability to drive the design and implementation of complex software systems, ensuring scalability, performance, and maintainability
You can establish and monitor code coverage metrics, operational metrics and SLAs
You have experience working with agile methodology, test-driven development, source control management, and automated testing
You are passionate about solving problems
You have experience leading a team of offshore engineers
Ability to work with the business and external platform providers to jointly create solutions
You possess superb communication skills

Responsibilities

Actively participate in code and technical design reviews with a good understanding of how code fits into broader technical and/or business context
Work with Product Management to understand requirements and contribute to release planning
Prototype new ideas and coach junior technical colleagues
Ensure high testability and quality of delivered software
Work with QA and Operations teams to troubleshoot and fix defects in software
Participate in building Scrum process and agile culture within the company
