About The Position

Work collaboratively on an Agile team to develop and enhance complex systems and/or software from user stories and technical/architectural specifications.
Solve business problems and drive direct outcomes through innovative solutions that exceed customer expectations, driving best in class claims experiences.
Provide oversight and mentorship for junior developers.
Partner to create architectural designs for software systems.
Troubleshoot and provide support for multiple software applications.
Telecommuting permitted up to 60%.

Requirements

• Employer will accept a Bachelor's degree (or foreign equivalent) in Computer Science or related field and 5 years of experience in the job offered or in a Sr Software Engineer-related occupation.
• Full stack engineering skills, including React, Node JS and Graphql.
• Demonstrated proficiency in at least two object-oriented and functional programming languages, including Java, JavaScript, TypeScript, or Node JS.
• Demonstrated knowledge of diverse and emerging technologies, architectural concepts, and principles.
• Translating client requirements into technical designs.
• Demonstrated Agile engineering capabilities and a design-thinking mindset.
• Demonstrated expertise with IT concepts, business operations, design and development tools, system architecture and technical standards, shared software concepts and layered solutions and designs.
• High-level proficiency with client-side JavaScript frameworks, server-side frameworks, and NoSQL databases.
• Telecommuting permitted up to 60%.
