This position is posted by Jobgether on behalf of a partner company. We are currently looking for a Sr. Software Engineer (RPA) in the United States. This role offers the opportunity to work on advanced software and automation solutions within a dynamic, security-focused environment. The Sr. Software Engineer (RPA) will design, develop, and deploy software applications and robotic process automation (RPA) bots to optimize operational workflows. The position involves collaborating with distributed teams in an Agile setting, implementing CI/CD pipelines, and ensuring software meets strict security and operational standards. The successful candidate will work with cutting-edge technologies in Python, Java, JavaScript, and cloud containerization while contributing to high-impact projects that enhance efficiency, reliability, and security. This role combines hands-on technical expertise with proactive problem-solving, risk management, and continuous improvement.

  • Design, develop, test, document, and deploy RPA bots using Automation Anywhere and UiPath.
  • Develop software applications in Python, Java, JavaScript, and SQL, including automated tests with tools such as Selenium, JMeter, Ansible, and Junit.
  • Build, maintain, and deploy CI/CD pipelines using Jenkins/CloudBees, Bitbucket, Artifactory, Docker, Ansible, and Kubernetes/OpenShift.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve infrastructure, system, and software issues; proactively identify and mitigate technical risks.
  • Collaborate in an Agile team environment, attending daily scrums and coordinating with geographically dispersed teams.
  • Ensure software and RPA solutions comply with security standards and deployment requirements, including DoD security guidelines.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or a related discipline; Master’s preferred.
  • 4–8 years of professional software development experience, or 2–6 years with a relevant Master’s degree.
  • Hands-on experience in RPA development using Automation Anywhere or UiPath.
  • Proficiency in Python, Java, JavaScript, SQL, HTML, and web UI frameworks such as React.
  • Experience with CI/CD pipeline creation, DevOps tools (Jenkins, Bitbucket, Artifactory, Ansible), and containerized environments (Docker, Kubernetes/OpenShift).
  • Familiarity with Agile methodology and working in geographically distributed teams.
  • Security+ certification (or equivalent DoD 8570 IAT II certification) and the ability to obtain a DoD Secret clearance.
  • US citizenship required.
