Requirements

  • Bachelor's in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or Electrical Engineering. Masters or Advanced degree preferred.
  • 5+ years of work experience with a bachelor's degree, or 3+ years of experience with master's degree, in writing C++ production software.
  • Demonstrated experience with multi-core and multi-threading architectures for high-performance applications.

Nice To Haves

  • Proven experience developing time-critical applications on RTOS platforms (QNX, VxWorks, or Real-Time Linux).
  • Advanced C++ (C++11 or higher) proficiency in building high-performance, multi-threaded applications in safety-critical environments.
  • Experience with industrial communication protocols like EtherCAT, CAN/CANOpen or RTI/DDS.
  • Experience with MPSoC software development, embedded Linux systems (Yocto).
  • Comfortable debugging complex hardware-software interactions.
  • Background in medical device software development with knowledge of IEC 62304 compliance and regulatory requirements.

Responsibilities

  • Develop robust, safety-critical C++ code in multi-threaded, real-time environments where precision and reliability are paramount.
  • Design software architectures for complex subsystems, ensuring scalability, maintainability, and seamless integration with robotic hardware.
  • Conduct thorough risk analysis and implement sophisticated mitigation strategies in software designs.
  • Partner closely with Electrical, Embedded, and Control Systems engineers to solve complex technical challenges and optimize system performance.
  • Represent your team in cross-functional discussions, driving technical decisions, and advocating for engineering excellence across the organization.
