About The Position

The Sr. Software Engineer P3 position at Pratt & Whitney involves leading a team responsible for the provisioning, installation, configuration, operation, and maintenance of systems hardware and software related to a Windows/Linux/Cloud infrastructure. The role focuses on developing secure, cost-efficient environments for unclassified and classified programs, while collaborating with a diverse team to support critical programs. The engineer will be tasked with creating end-to-end solutions for complex IT infrastructure problems and ensuring high uptime for production systems.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Science, Technology, Engineering or Mathematics (STEM).
  • 5 years of IT experience, or an Advanced Degree and 3 years' experience.
  • Ability to obtain and maintain a U.S. government issued security clearance.
  • U.S. citizenship is required.

Nice To Haves

  • Familiarity with modern data analysis and signal processing techniques.
  • Experience in hardware/software risk reduction and capability validation efforts.
  • Knowledge of and exposure to aerospace control and diagnostic systems.
  • Proficiency with Python, MATLAB, Databricks, and Agile methods.
  • Knowledge of Cloud Computing tools and methods, particularly AWS and/or Azure.

Responsibilities

  • Lead a small team in a fast-paced technological environment.
  • Use troubleshooting techniques to resolve technical problems of moderate to high complexity.
  • Assist in developing solutions and documentation for various technical challenges.
  • Configure, administer, and maintain mixed Windows and Linux servers to security standards.
  • Execute and support on-premises and cloud deployments of applications.
  • Work with Cybersecurity professionals to maintain security requirements.
  • Install and configure software applications requested by end users.
  • Prepare presentations and status updates for internal and customer communications.
  • Provide guidance and training to the team.
  • Document and train on advanced IT processes and procedures.
