Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree from an accredited institution in a technical discipline such as the sciences, technology, engineering or mathematics
  • 4 plus years of experience in avionics software integration or software systems integration in an aerospace environment.
  • U.S. PERSON REQUIREMENT: Due to compliance with U.S. export control laws and regulations, candidate must be a U.S. citizen, U.S. permanent resident, asylum or refugee status in the U.S, or have the ability to obtain an export authorization.

Nice To Haves

  • Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Software Engineering, Computer Science, or a related technical field.
  • Strong analytical skills and the ability to quickly analyze, incorporate and apply new information and concepts
  • Self‑motivated individuals who work effectively with minimal supervision and demonstrate ownership of results.
  • Experience with C plus-plus;, Python, PowerShell, or Windows BAT scripting.
  • Experience with Deos, ARINC 653, and multicore processing environments.
  • Experience with ARINC 665/615 data loading standards.
  • Experience with ARINC 661 (cockpit display/UI standards).
  • Knowledge of IMA I/O integration and use of tools such as ESCAPE, PCT, or HARMONIC.
  • Experience using Pure::Variants tooling, Software Product line, and Variation management or similar product‑line engineering tools.
  • Familiarity with TSO‑153a/TSO‑153, TSO‑214, and avionics certification processes.
  • Experience developing or maintaining IMA software part numbering strategies.
  • Ability to manage multiple complex tasks in parallel and work effectively across distributed engineering teams.
  • Familiarity with Honeywell’s Next Generation Avionics (NGA) architecture.
  • Experience with Memory management, memory mapping, caching
  • Experience with debuggers like gdb, visual studio

Responsibilities

  • Integrated Modular Avionics (IMA) Software Integration: Perform end to end integration of avionics software components on Honeywell’s Next Generation Avionics (NGA) platform, ensuring compliance with ARINC 653 partitioning, system resource allocations, and multicore scheduling constraints on the host module.
  • Software Build and Part Number Management: Emphasize integration processes which maximize data driven modification and support FAA certification.
  • Key Program Indicator (KPI) Toolchain Development: Design, implement, and maintain KPI metrics tools used to monitor software maturity, integration progress, memory/CPU utilization, and avionics system performance across engineering teams.
  • KPI Data Analysis & Validation: Perform detailed analysis of KPI dataset outputs, validating accuracy and consistency of system metrics, and generating engineering reports that influence program-level technical decision making.
  • Requirements Analysis & System Decomposition: Analyze high level avionics system requirements and decompose them into detailed software and integration requirements, ensuring traceability through the full development lifecycle.
  • Integration & Regression Testing: Configure and execute integration test campaigns using avionics benches, virtual platforms, and hardware in the loop (HIL) environments. Debug complex interactions between software partitions, I/O services, and platform infrastructure.
