About The Position

Collaborate with experienced engineers to design, implement, and optimize core systems components for the Network OS supporting OCI’s switch infrastructure. Contribute to high-performance, reliable, and scalable systems through well-designed software and well-reasoned algorithms. Apply expertise in data structures, system architecture, resource management, concurrency, and fault tolerance to real-world software problems. Write efficient, maintainable code in systems-level languages such as C, C++, Rust, or Go. Participate in code reviews, architecture discussions, and team problem-solving sessions. Troubleshoot complex system-level issues, identify root causes, and help drive robust solutions in production environments. Proactively learn and onboard new technologies, including relevant areas of network engineering, as needed. Support operational excellence by automating workflows, improving testing infrastructure, and contributing to monitoring and observability initiatives. Requirements

  • Bachelor’s or master’s degree in computer science, Electrical Engineering, or a related technical field (or equivalent practical experience).
  • 3–5 years of experience developing systems software, OS internals, or large-scale distributed applications.
  • Strong foundation in data structures, algorithms, operating system concepts, and performance analysis.
  • Proficiency in at least one systems programming language such as Java, C, C++, Rust, or Go.
  • Demonstrated ability to learn complex technical domains quickly and apply rigorous reasoning to new problem spaces.
  • Strong collaboration, communication, and team-oriented mindset.

  • Experience with networking technologies (such as TCP/IP, switching, routing) preferred.

  • Paid time off: Flexible Vacation is provided to all eligible employees assigned to a salaried (non-overtime eligible) position.
