About The Position

We’re looking for an experienced Senior Software Engineer to join our Workplace Personal Investing team. As we embark on building an innovative greenfield platform, we are seeking an experienced Technical solutions leader to design, develop, and maintain software solutions that support wealth management platforms and client-facing applications specifically in the investing product space. Key Responsibilities: Design, develop, and maintain software solutions that support wealth management platforms and client-facing applications. Grow the team's ability to own and design all software development layers of a solution. Multiply the effectiveness of others by facilitating cross-team work. Listen and guide debates to help reach consensus. Clearly communicate and back final decisions. Proactively nurture talent of the senior staff in the area. Lead design and delivery of High Yield Savings platform components including account setup (FDIC, joint accounts), tax documentation and reporting, and revenue/cost tracking services. Architect secure, compliant, and extensible APIs to support both customer-facing experiences and internal servicing workflows. Collaborate closely with compliance, finance, and data teams to ensure all regulatory and operational requirements are embedded in platform design. Guide the development of front-end components for transaction views, account dashboards, and system alerts. Drive alignment across engineering and product to ensure seamless UI-to-service integration and strong error handling in client interactions. Drive alignment across multiple engineering and product teams to ensure consistency in eventing, logging, and lifecycle management for account-based workflows. Partner with product managers and UX to deliver seamless customer onboarding and account servicing journeys.

Requirements

  • Associate's or bachelor's degree (preference in a computer science, technology, engineering or math-related field or equivalent experience) and 8+ years work experience or equivalent experience
  • 4+ years of AWS experience is required
  • 6+ years of front end or backend development experience is required
  • Formal/Informal leadership is required
  • Experience working with modern front-end frameworks (React preferred), and cross-browser responsive UI development
  • Experience leveraging industry leading vendors to achieve business and customer outcomes.
  • Must have hands-on experience developing software solutions for wealth management platforms or financial services applications.
  • Advanced planning, organizational, problem-solving, analytical, decision-making and communication skills required
  • Must be able to maintain a high degree of accuracy and confidentiality

Nice To Haves

  • Strong background in financial services or banking platforms, especially around transactional and compliance-based workflows
  • Hands-on experience building event-driven, cloud-native applications (AWS preferred)
  • Familiarity with front-end integration best practices including REST APIs, error messaging standards, and accessibility
  • Familiarity with AWS infrastructure and scalable notification/eventing systems (e.g., SNS, SQS, EventBridge)
