Overview Note for NJ based candidates: This role will be located at our future headquarters in Short Hills, N.J. Until the new headquarters is operational, the successful candidate will be offered the ability to work in our Branchville, N.J. location during this interim period. Become part of our emerging Enterprise team as a Senior Software Engineer, where you will help shape innovative AI solutions and cloud architectures using Microsoft Azure. This role offers the chance to contribute high-quality code, work closely with talented peers, and drive process improvements for new large-scale enterprise initiatives. You will be exposed to Gen AI, Azure API Management (APIM), Gateways, Azure OpenAI, Azure AI Foundry and extensive .NET development within a rapidly evolving, forward-thinking environment.

Requirements

  • 5+ years of experience designing and developing complex applications.
  • Proficient expertise in C# .NET, including API development and SQL integration.
  • Experience with Azure Cloud Services, including deploying and managing enterprise solutions.
  • Experience with automated unit testing and modern mocking frameworks.
  • Experience working as part of a large team, including mentoring or guiding less experienced members.
  • Solid understanding of git and trunk-based development workflows.
  • Full stack development proficiency, including use of design patterns and principles.
  • Proficient coding experience in .NET, with a focus on building robust enterprise solutions.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience with Azure API Management (APIM) and Gateway configurations for enterprise integrations.
  • Experience with Azure AI services, tools or platforms like Azure OpenAI, AI Foundry, etc.
  • Angular development experience for modern front-end applications.
  • SAFe Agile or similar agile methodology experience, especially in large organizations.
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Management Information Systems, or a related field.
  • Property & Casualty Insurance industry experience is a plus.

Responsibilities

  • Enterprise Collaboration: Work closely with business and IT stakeholders to design and implement AI-driven solutions that deliver measurable value.
  • Solution Design: Participate in designing scalable, cloud-first systems in partnership with technical leaders and architects, focusing on Azure technologies.
  • Team Support: Support other developers by sharing knowledge, offering guidance, and encouraging best practices and process improvements.
  • Project Roadmapping: Help maintain and refine technical project roadmaps, ensuring alignment with enterprise cloud and AI initiatives.
  • Core Development: Develop and deliver key components and solutions using .NET, Azure APIM, and Gateway integrations as well as Azure AI services, tools and platforms like Azure OpenAI, AI Foundry, etc.
  • Quality Assurance: Participate in code reviews, design sessions, and documentation audits to help maintain high standards.
