Requirements
- 5+ years of professional software engineering experience
- Strong proficiency with Elixir and OTP principles
- Solid experience with PostgreSQL (schemas, queries, performance tuning, JSONB, indexing strategies)
- Experience deploying and managing applications on AWS (EKS, S3, Aurora)
- Proficiency in writing clean, maintainable, testable code (TDD/BDD practices mandatory)
- Experience working in Agile teams (code reviews, refinement, demos, CI/CD practices)
- Good understanding of version control (Git/GitHub/GitLab)
Nice To Haves
- Experience with Phoenix framework
- Knowledge of observability tools (AppSignal, Datadog, etc.)
Responsibilities
- Designing and developing server-side features in Elixir/Phoenix backed by PostgreSQL
- Deploying and managing cloud workloads in AWS with scalability and resilience in mind
- Participating in architecture discussions and solving complex engineering challenges
- Working on new and existing projects that power a point-of-sale geared towards convenience stores
- Collaborating with cross-functional teams to deliver value to our customers
- Writing, reviewing, and improving code through peer reviews and unit/integration testing
