Requirements

  • 5+ years of professional software engineering experience
  • Strong proficiency with Elixir and OTP principles
  • Solid experience with PostgreSQL (schemas, queries, performance tuning, JSONB, indexing strategies)
  • Experience deploying and managing applications on AWS (EKS, S3, Aurora)
  • Proficiency in writing clean, maintainable, testable code (TDD/BDD practices mandatory)
  • Experience working in Agile teams (code reviews, refinement, demos, CI/CD practices)
  • Good understanding of version control (Git/GitHub/GitLab)

Nice To Haves

  • Experience with Phoenix framework
  • Knowledge of observability tools (AppSignal, Datadog, etc.)

Responsibilities

  • Designing and developing server-side features in Elixir/Phoenix backed by PostgreSQL
  • Deploying and managing cloud workloads in AWS with scalability and resilience in mind
  • Participating in architecture discussions and solving complex engineering challenges
  • Working on new and existing projects that power a point-of-sale geared towards convenience stores
  • Collaborating with cross-functional teams to deliver value to our customers
  • Writing, reviewing, and improving code through peer reviews and unit/integration testing
