Sr Software Engineer, Distributed Cloud Data Platform Position Summary Join a revolutionary team of Distributed Cloud Data platform, Analytics, Cloud service specialists to build core data system, analytics, telemetry, AI/ Generative AI powered services at scale in the growing field of multi-cloud SaaS (Software as a Service), Security and Multi Cloud Networking solutions. We are looking for a Sr Cloud Engineer to join our Data platform and service team to build core data platforms and data analytics pipeline in the F5 Distributed Cloud Platform Group. As a critical member of the Distributed Cloud Data platform team, you will be responsible for leading the design, deployment, automation and operations of the data systems and services across hybrid Cloud for the new landscape of F5 SaaS products.

Requirements

Bachelor's degree in computer science or equivalent professional experience (5+ years).
Extensive hands-on operation experience in data platform and SaaS products
Extensive hands-on experience in public Cloud (AWS, GCP, Azure) and Managed Services
Proficiency in deployment and automation of data system, analytics pipeline across on Prem and Cloud
Proficiency in data/ stream processing (e.g., Kafka, Pubsub, Dataflow,Vector, Spark, Flink), database and data warehouse (e.g., Elasticsearch, ClickHouse, StarRocks, Big Query), analytics and AI platform (e.g. Databricks, Snowflake)
Expertise in streaming, warehouse/data lake performance tuning, and query optimization
Proficiency in deployment and automation of data system, analytics pipeline across on Prem and Cloud
Expertise in data model, schema registration and evolution, and event-driven architectures, compliance in data pipelines (e.g. GDPR, PII masking, encryption)
Experience with logs, metrics, telemetry, Prometheus, Open Telemetry, distributed tracing
Proficiency in terraform and managing workloads via IaC
Proficiency in deploying Models (CRDs), Controllers and/or Operators
Proficiency in container and orchestration technologies, Kubernetes and Microservice deployment
Experience with automation and cloud Infra, source control, modern CI/CD(ArgoCD), GitOps
Experience with data system observability, monitoring, alerting, quality and performance
Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and end-to-end debugging skills in data systems and pipelines with extensive knowledge from network, routing, Infra, underlay to VPN, DNS, and Load Balancer technologies.

Responsibilities

Build F5 Distributed Cloud data system and innovate in next Gen data and analytics platform
Accelerate the deployment, automation and operations of the data platform across on Prem and Cloud
Design and manage network, infrastructure and access to the data system and analytics pipeline
Implement observability strategies and performance monitoring of system
Work closely with developer, product, marketing, operation, platform, and customer support team to create innovative solution for Cloud and SaaS product delivery
