This role will support one or more direct or indirect contracts with the U.S. Federal Government which, due to federal government security requirements, mandates that all Workday personnel working on the contracts be United States citizens (naturalized or native). As a Senior Software Development Engineer, you will be responsible for designing and developing cloud-scale web services in Java or Kotlin that power our mobile and web clients as part of an agile team that delivers on shared commitments. The technologies we use include Java, Kotlin, Spring Boot, Git, JUnit, Gradle, Mockito, Redis, RabbitMQ, Public and Private Clouds, microservices and function-as-a-service. You will collaborate with workmates on your team and in other teams across Workday to design, develop and deploy end-to-end solutions. We design and engineer our services to run reliably at cloud-scale and support our work in production via an on-call support rotation. This hybrid role is 50% office-based, and we support work life balance and flexible working arrangements.
