The Role AspenTech is looking for a Senior Software Developer to design, develop both back-end and front-end components to drive our modern applications within our Manufacturing Execution Systems unit. The primary role of the Senior Software Developer will be to design and develop intuitive, responsive, and high-performance user experiences, considering the server-side computation as well as client-side optimization. The developer will be in collaboration with their agile team and product stakeholders, such as Product Management and UX designers.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in computer science, software engineering or similar field.
• 5+ years’ working experience with Object Oriented Programming languages like Java, C++, or C#
• 5+ years’ working experience with HTML5, CSS3, JavaScript, and Typescript.
• Experience in modern frameworks like VueJS, Angular, or React.JS.
• Experience with system design and a strong understanding of design patterns
• Understanding of source control systems TFS, GitHub.
• Experience with unit testing frameworks and test-driven development

Nice To Haves

• Experience in GWT, Tomcat, and SOLR is a plus
• Experience with gRPC for API integration is a plus.
• Knowledge of browser debugging tools and performance optimization.
• Familiarity with Figma is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Implement clean, reusable, and maintainable back-end and front-end code following industry best practices.
• Design and develop responsive and interactive web interfaces using HTML5, CSS3, JavaScript, and modern frameworks.
• Collaborate with UX/UI designers, backend developers and product managers to translate design mock-ups into functional software.
• Optimize applications and services for maximum speed, and scalability
• Generate and maintain testing infrastructure.
• Develop and integrate backend services with front-end components.
• Participate in code reviews, debug issues, and ensure best practices implemented across the application.
• Participate in product/customer support and defect diagnose and fix under a fairly complicated environment
• Ability to learn quickly, research new solutions for the product challenges.
