About The Position

The Sr. Software Developer serves as the development group’s lead technical resource and leads all phases of a system’s development life cycle. This requires an emphasis on analyzing complex business and technical problems to shape and deliver an entire system’s software components. The position is expected to analyze, configure, and tune the underlying framework and infrastructure and is considered the subject matter expert on each system’s functionality, behavior and capabilities. The Sr. Software Developer also enforces software development standards and mentors junior developers. Requirements

  • Minimum of 6 months knowledge and experience with SharePoint Online or Office 365.
  • Minimum of 5 years of web development and object-oriented programming in .NET or C#.
  • Minimum of 2 years of experience leading development team activities such as code reviews, build processes, and deployment processes.
  • Ability to design solutions that solve critical business problems and present to business partners
  • Understands the need for and consistently practices effective collaboration within an Agile environment.
  • Demonstrated expert knowledge of the entire Software Development Lifecycle (SDLC).
  • Experience with HTML and JavaScript as well as data warehouse concepts.
  • Experience with Continuous Integration and Continuous Deployment tools such as Jenkins and GitHub.
  • Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Computer Information Systems, Electrical Engineering, or closely related field.
  • A minimum of 5 years of experience in leading and supporting the development of highly transactional, mission critical applications in environments/architectures for multi-user systems.
  • Minimum of 5 years of SharePoint or .net development and administration experience.
  • Minimum of 1 year working in an Agile environment following Scrum, Kanban, or Lean methodologies.

Responsibilities

  • Conceptualizes, prepares and creates detailed technical specifications written and configured for SharePoint or SharePoint Online.
  • Writes, tests, analyzes, and implements high quality code according to specifications included in User Stories for SharePoint or SharePoint Online.
  • Complies with all required Company policies and practices relating to the Software Development Life Cycle, using Agile and Scrum methodologies.
  • As a SharePoint and Microsoft product subject matter expert, assists others in defining application system scope and objectives through research and fact finding and makes recommendations pertaining to system design and solutions.
  • Provides Tier 3 support for SharePoint or SharePoint Online and drives resolution of open IT issues escalated by IT Customer Support.
  • Maintains and builds strong vendor relationships with companies such as Microsoft, to resolve problems and coordinate the delivery of IT products and services.
  • Supports and validates production release activities by using Integration and Delivery tools such as Jenkins and Git Hub.
  • Organizes the SharePoint development environment setup and ongoing maintenance by partnering with internal Infrastructure for on premise and Microsoft Support for cloud base environments.
  • Assists the Database Administration and the Systems Administration groups with the respective database and infrastructure system needs.
  • Performs other job-related duties as assigned or apparent.
