About The Position

A Texas state agency is seeking an experienced Appian Certified Developer to design, build, and deploy enterprise-grade business applications using Appian's low-code development platform. This role requires deep experience with SAIL interfaces, process models, API integrations, and Agile delivery frameworks. The ideal candidate will bring strong technical architecture capabilities, collaborative development experience, and a disciplined approach to performance optimization, testing, and deployment.

Requirements

• 8+ years of Agile methodology experience.
• 8+ years demonstrating strong design, development, and analytical skills.
• 8+ years of effective communication and teamwork experience in cross-functional technical environments.
• 3+ years holding Appian Level 2 Senior Developer Certification
• Bachelor's degree in Information Systems, Computer Science, Engineering, or related technical field. Equivalent professional experience may substitute for degree requirements, high school diploma required.

Nice To Haves

• 3+ years of hands-on Appian or low-code platform development experience.
• Experience with GAMS (Government Acquisition Management Suite)
• Experience working within a public sector or government technology environment.

Responsibilities

• Design and build scalable Appian applications using SAIL and Process Models
• Develop integrations with external systems through REST and SOAP APIs.
• Optimize user interface performance and responsiveness.
• Write and execute unit and integration tests.
• Collaborate with business analysts and QA teams to validate functionality and ensure quality standards.
• Participate in Agile ceremonies including sprint planning, stand-ups, and retrospectives.
• Contribute to solution design, documentation, and continuous improvement initiatives.
