About The Position

We are hiring an experienced professional to join a dynamic team within Lenovo's Global Procurement organization which is part of Lenovo's Global Supply Chain. This team provides support to internal stakeholders and business owners for their software requirements for Lenovo's PC and Smart Device division. There are multiple important roles within the team including Global Supply Managers who manage the supply of software license keys, Global Commodity Managers who manage the contractual and business relationship with a portfolio of software suppliers, and Global Operations Managers who manage the operational relationship with software suppliers. The team collectively manages over $3B in software spend on an annual basis and has an active portfolio of over 80 suppliers including industry leaders such as Microsoft, Google, Adobe, Dolby, McAfee, and Absolute. The team is about evenly divided as based in the USA and in China, and the team works with stakeholders in all Geographies around the world.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in computer science, business management, supply chain management, or related field
  • 5+ years of experience in procurement
  • Knowledge of AI software/models and cloud services

  • Strong international teamwork skills and experience on global partner management are preferred.
  • Experience in procurement, contract management and/or procurement operations.

Responsibilities

  • Support high-volume software (SW) supplier management and facilitate cross-functional communication across Legal, Finance, R&D, and Business Units.
  • Negotiate SW supplier contracts to secure terms that align with Lenovo's business objectives.
  • Monitor SW supplier performance and address issues or discrepancies to support ongoing improvement.
  • Provide assistance to Business Units and Segments in developing strategies consistent with industry standards to maintain product and software solution competitiveness.
  • Ensure compliance with company policies, procedures, regulations, and standards.
