About The Position

The Sr Social Media Specialist is responsible for the day-to-day execution, management, and optimization of Point32Health’s social media presence. This role is hands-on, directly managing and publishing content across social media platforms, engaging with audiences, monitoring brand sentiment, and ensuring a consistent and engaging brand voice. The Sr Social Media Specialist oversees all organic social activity for Point32Health and its brand channels, including Harvard Pilgrim Health Care, Tufts Health Plan, and CarePartners of Connecticut. Working closely with the Director of Public Relations, this role is both strategic and tactical—developing content strategies while directly executing social media initiatives. The Manager will collaborate with internal teams and external partners to create compelling content, manage community engagement, and analyze performance metrics to optimize impact.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in business, communications, or marketing
  • 3-5 years of experience working in a marketing, public relations, or communications field.
  • Excellent written, story-telling and oral communication skills
  • Excellent organizational and time-management skills
  • Ability to work with employees at all levels
  • Detail-oriented, poised and composed under pressure
  • Multi-tasker with ability to manage deadlines in a fast-paced environment
  • Basic design formatting and layout capabilities
  • Stay up to date on current social media trends best practices and trends.
  • Ability to work cooperatively as part of a team member and successfully independently
  • Excellent customer service skills and ability to form strong working relationships with colleagues and vendors
  • Familiarity with social media tracking tools such as Sprinklr

Nice To Haves

  • Master’s degree
  • 3-5 years of experience in Marketing for health insurance
  • Experience in social boosting and paid media strategies a plus.

Responsibilities

  • Manage and execute all organic content and engagement for Point32Health and its go-to-market brands across primary social media channels (LinkedIn, Facebook, Instagram, X, YouTube).
  • Develop and publish engaging content, including copywriting, graphic design, and video production, ensuring alignment with brand voice and objectives.
  • Actively manage community engagement , responding to comments and messages in an authentic, empathetic, and timely manner. Escalate customer concerns to the appropriate teams and work cross-functionally to resolve issues.
  • Monitor and analyze performance metrics , providing regular reporting and insights to optimize content and engagement strategies.
  • Lead and execute social listening efforts to track brand sentiment, industry trends, and audience conversations, using insights to inform content and engagement strategies.
  • Collaborate with internal teams , including Marketing, HR, Sales, and Product, to develop and align content with business objectives and campaigns.
  • Manage executive and influencer social media programs , working directly with leadership and Chiefs of Staff to build and grow the social presence of the CEO, COO, and CPO on LinkedIn.
  • Stay ahead of social media trends and best practices , continuously testing new approaches and platforms to drive innovation and engagement.
  • Train and support internal stakeholders on social media best practices, empowering teams to contribute effectively to the brand’s social presence.
  • Ensure brand consistency and compliance , following social media governance and legal guidelines.
