Requirements

  • 7+ years of experience in data engineering, data architecture, or related technical roles.
  • Deep hands-on expertise with Snowflake, including performance tuning, data modeling, security, and pipeline optimization.
  • Strong experience with Google Cloud Platform (GCP) data services such as Pub/Sub, Dataflow, Cloud Composer, Cloud Storage, and BigQuery (ecosystem familiarity).
  • Experience working within Agile environments using tools like Jira and ServiceNow.
  • Background in enterprise-grade data integration, including streaming or messaging systems such as Google Pub/Sub or comparable platforms.
  • Working knowledge of Power BI, Sigma, or similar tools to support self-service analytics.
  • Familiarity with Python for data transformations, automation, and collaborating with engineering partners.
  • Enthusiasm for AI-assisted development and experimentation with tools such as Claude Code, Codex, GPT‑5, Climb, Kizer, or Cursor to enhance productivity.

Responsibilities

  • Design, build, and maintain scalable, secure data pipelines using Snowflake and GCP-native services to support enterprise-wide data initiatives.
  • Partner with business and technical teams to develop well-modeled, authoritative data sources that support data commercialization and analytics.
  • Manage work using Agile tools such as Jira and ServiceNow, participating in sprint ceremonies and contributing to team delivery.
  • Modernize and optimize data integration workflows, including deprecating legacy systems and migrating to high-performing, cloud-native solutions.
  • Collaborate with BI and reporting teams to enable self-service analytics through tools like Power BI and Sigma, ensuring high data quality and availability.
  • Participate in code reviews, documentation, and ongoing process improvements to strengthen engineering standards and team efficiency.
  • Enhance reliability, scalability, and performance across Snowflake and GCP through strong engineering discipline and cloud best practices.
