About The Position

DHL Supply Chain is seeking a Senior Operational Business Analyst who will be responsible for providing financial and operational insight to enhance performance and process efficiency in a distribution center environment. This role involves influencing operational leaders and decision-making, solving problems, and pursuing continuous improvement opportunities. The analyst will provide analytical support for all Accounting and Finance activities, including month-end close, payroll, receivables, and payables, as well as operational activities such as warehouse productivity and labor efficiency. The position requires direct contact with customers to discuss billing, strategy, and budgets, and may involve supporting multiple locations and customers. The analyst will also audit vendor payables, execute daily customer/vendor contract requirements, and provide support to various departments including Finance and HR. Additionally, the role includes preparing month-end close accruals, assisting with accounts receivable and payable processing, and preparing labor analysis reports.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, or a relevant field, or equivalent work experience.
  • 3+ years of experience in an Accounting or Financial Reporting role.

Responsibilities

  • Provide analytical support for all Accounting and Finance activities such as month-end close, payroll, receivables, and payables.
  • Support operational activities including warehouse productivity and labor efficiency reporting and analysis.
  • Direct contact with customers leading discussions on billing, strategy, and budgets.
  • Support complex commercial discussions including flex budgeting and KPI penalties/incentives.
  • Audit vendor payables for accuracy and ensure appropriate approvals are obtained prior to payment.
  • Execute daily customer/vendor contract requirements and identify accessorial activity.
  • Work with Finance and HR department associates providing support and assistance as needed.
  • Provide support to the Kronos application to ensure accurate hourly activity reporting.
  • Interact with GMs, Managers, and Supervisors to provide analytical support as needed.
  • Participate in ensuring a safe, secure, clean, and fair work environment for associates.
  • Prepare month-end close accrual and reclass journal entries.
  • Assist with accounts receivable and payable processing as needed.
  • Reconcile Purchase Orders to support expense recognition.
  • Prepare daily and weekly labor analysis reports for operations productivity analysis.
  • Participate in the collection of performance measurements consistent with customer, vendor, and site requirements.
  • Ownership of balance sheets account reconciliations.
