Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Engineering Technology, or a related technical field, or equivalent practical experience.
  • Experience with robotic simulation, automation, or manufacturing engineering in an industrial environment.
  • Working knowledge of manufacturing processes, production systems, and cell-based automation.
  • Experience interpreting engineering drawings, layouts, and technical specifications.
  • Familiarity with robotic systems, tooling concepts, and industrial equipment.
  • Experience collaborating with cross-functional engineering and design teams.
  • Ability to analyze cycle times, process flow, and system performance.
  • Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.
  • Effective written and verbal communication skills.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience with robotic simulation and offline programming tools.
  • Knowledge of welding processes, weld gun validation, and weld spot distribution.
  • Experience with layout development, reach studies, and robot selection.
  • Familiarity with ERP, PLM, or manufacturing execution systems.
  • Experience presenting technical data to internal stakeholders or customers.

Responsibilities

  • Perform robotic simulations including reach studies and cell builds based on provided layouts.
  • Support process engineering activities including cell layout design and robot selection.
  • Validate weld guns and weld spot distribution; prepare and analyze cycle time charts.
  • Collaborate with design and engineering teams to validate tooling concepts, layouts, and robot selections.
  • Develop robotic simulation deliverables, including simulation files, videos, and images.
  • Present simulation results, technical findings, and recommendations to internal teams and customers.
  • Provide engineering teams with simulation outputs including robot paths, offline programming (OLP), DCS, and RDS data.
