Requirements

Excellent driving skills, hand/foot-eye coordination and manual dexterity
Good record keeping / clerical skills
Good far-visual differentiation and depth perception
Good basic math and reading skills
Good oral communication and human relations skills
High School Diploma or equivalent
Some experience or training as a forklift operator
Fork truck license.

Prior experience in a manufacturing environment is desirable

Responsibilities

Gives technical support and guidance to production employees as needed
Assist in supervising day-to-day activities of a team of direct reports. Establish and maintain a positive consistent work environment including personnel policy development, training safety and housekeeping.
Participate in shift change brief.
Manifest loads correctly.
Housekeeping. Keep floor, racks, and equipment clean.
Marks off and ID skids properly with the destination and the dispatch number on the outside of the wrap.
Shrink wraps pallet to ensure skid integrity is maintained during transit.
Loads product in accordance within SOP guidelines to ensure accuracy and load integrity.
Loads and unloads trailers in a safe efficient manner.
Operates material handling equipment: stretch wrap machines, skid compressor, and skid flipper.
Inspects and operates a forklift.
Participate in all safety programs as needed for the department.
Operates computer programs
Fill in with warehouse operations as business needs require
Other duties as assigned by shift supervisor.
Various tasks involving the responsibility of the food safety and quality of company products.
