About The Position

SMX is seeking a Senior Service Desk (FOIA) to support the U.S. Army Counterintelligence Command’s IT infrastructure by providing hardware maintenance, hardware management and Tier II service desk support. This is a full-time onsite position in Ft. Meade, MD. Essential Duties & Responsibilities Perform all hardware maintenance duties and can operate automated diagnostics systems and to interpret findings. Perform remedial and preventative maintenance in accordance with Original Equipment Manufacturer (OEM) specs, Cybersecurity STIG requirements, or as defined by the TTM/COR Track and execute warranties for asset maintenance. Perform equipment installation and relocation. Be able to assist/conduct equipment sanitization for turn-in to the Defense Reutilization Management Office (DRMO) Identify required spare parts and maintain inventory of spares. Fabricate, install, and remove cabling and cabling infrastructure (e.g., raceways, conduit, etc.) for supported systems IAW Department of Defense (DoD) and Army requirements. Perform hardware installations, basic network administration and actions required to install or troubleshoot Automated Information Systems and Internet Protocol (IP) assets on a network (e.g., configure IPs, troubleshooting connectivity issues, etc.) Provide system hardware maintenance and interconnectivity familiarization for active duty and civilian personnel following hardware upgrades, integrations, reconfigurations, and layout drawings updates. Perform site surveys for new installations or reconfigurations as directed by the TTM/COR via projects and/or task assignments. Attend internal unit required training sessions and meetings. Create/update diagrams supporting Information Assurance (IA), Configuration Management (CM), and Government documentation requirements. Perform/maintain change control and associated documentation. Provide Tier II support for desktop imaging, managing Active Directory contents (accounts, groups, etc.), manage Org share contents, distribution lists, and overall Office 365 Support.

Requirements

  • Clearance Requirement: Top Secret/SCI and willingness to take a CI Poly
  • Two (2) years of college in a computer field and four (4) years of related experience or any equivalent combination of relevant education or experience for a total of six (6) years’ experience in the I.T. Support (Customer Service) field.
  • DoD 8140 requirements: Security+ ce
  • Must possess a valid U.S. Passport
  • Must possess a valid U.S. Driver’s License
  • Up to 20% annual travel
  • This position requires the ability to climb ladders, lift up to 50 Ibs, and perform overhead work
