The Senior Analyst will evaluate the psychometric properties, benefits, and risks of new tools to aid admissions and selections. Specific tools and methods might include SJTs, video interviews, biodata, big data analyses, validation studies, conducting job and needs analyses, and evaluating current processes. The Senior Analyst will contribute to decisions about research methodology, psychometrics, and analytic approaches. Acting as a project team lead, the senior analyst will manage project timelines, focus, compliance, budgets, and metrics for success. Handling secure data, the incumbent will contribute to a broad range of work and will build a variety of partnerships to accomplish goals, including collaborations with medical schools, residency programs, AAMC staff from multiple clusters, AAMC researchers, vendors, constituent partners, and members of the Technical Advisory Committee. With a particular focus on analytics, the Senior Analyst will be responsible for pulling, cleaning, and managing data from AAMC's data warehouse, using complex statistical approaches to analyze data and create reports and displays describing study results for medical schools and residency programs.

  • At least 1-4 years of work experience; 3-4 years of work experience is preferred.
  • Intermediate knowledge of personnel selection, validation research, research design, statistics, and psychometrics.
  • Advanced skills in Microsoft Office Suite, Windows, and database environments.
  • Advanced SPSS or SAS or R experience.
  • Experience managing large projects, complex business processes, and vendors preferred.
  • Proven ability to manage project timelines, escalate issues appropriately, and identify sources of problems and recommend solutions.
