About The Position

This position is part of the AWS Specialist and Partner Organization (ASP), where specialists manage the end-to-end go-to-market strategy for their technology domains and partner teams handle strategy, recruiting, development, and growth of key technology and consulting partners. The role is within the AWS Marketplace Team, which aims to transform how enterprise software is bought and sold by enabling sellers to reach AWS customers and buyers to easily discover, purchase, and consume software. The team's goals include enriching the platform for diverse selection, improving buyer and seller experience, and implementing new product dimensions, with a vision to make AWS Marketplace a one-stop shop for software. The ideal candidate is an experienced Software Development Engineer who will own significant product portions, influence strategy by defining future product features and system architecture, and work across all levels from front-end user experience to robust platform services and system-level components. The role requires a customer-centric individual passionate about building quality software, achieving operational excellence, and demonstrating teamwork, hustle, and strong communication skills.

Requirements

• 5+ years of non-internship professional software development experience
• 5+ years of programming with at least one software programming language experience
• 5+ years of leading design or architecture (design patterns, reliability and scaling) of new and existing systems experience
• Experience as a mentor, tech lead or leading an engineering team

Nice To Haves

• 5+ years of full software development life cycle, including coding standards, code reviews, source control management, build processes, testing, and operations experience
• Bachelor's degree in computer science or equivalent
• Experience with asynchronous workflow systems
