About The Position

Regeneron Cell Medicine’s Research team is composed of collaborative, innovative, and passionate individuals driven to grow our cellular immunotherapy programs, focused on delivering transformative medicine to patients. We are seeking a motivated Sr. Scientist to support cell therapy discovery and pre-clinical research. In this role, you will be responsible for the characterization of CAR/TCR-T cell therapies, development and evaluation of novel cell therapy technologies and will work closely with cross-functional teams to advance these targets through the development pipeline. We are a team that works, learns, and grows together - and we're eager to start co-creating with you! A Typical Day in the Role of Sr. Scientist Might Look Like: Contribute to the advancement of the CAR-TCR T cell therapies through innovative thinking, scientific expertise, a strong grasp of the latest developments in the field and collaborative leadership. Independently design and execute studies that provide the scientific basis for making data-driven decisions, (e.g., selection of top cell therapy constructs based on in vitro CAR-TCR T cell characterization). Perform standard T cell characterization assays (e.g., co-cultures to evaluate antigen-dependent cytokine release, target cell cytotoxicity, and T cell proliferation). Contribute to new technology assessment and implementation tailored to specific CAR T programs and to develop novel CAR designs. Represent the Research team in a variety of cross-functional forums. Analyze, interpret, and present data at working groups, departmental seminars and leadership meetings. Maintain detailed and timely records of experimental protocols, results, and observations.

Requirements

  • Have a strong background in immunology, cell biology, and molecular biology
  • Expertise in development of novel CAR/TCR-T cell therapies for oncology indications.
  • Are motivated by innovation, embrace new challenges, and strive to solve tough problems
  • Desire to drive results in multiple projects simultaneously and proven ability to effectively plan and organize work activities to meet schedules and deadlines.
  • Effectively work independently and as part of a collaborative team comprised of multiple functional groups.
  • Hold a passion for addressing the critical unmet medical needs of patients.
  • This role requires a PhD in immunology, molecular biology, or related discipline with 0-3 years industry experience.
  • Applicants with MS and/or BS with 8-10+ years of industry experience may also be considered.
  • A strong scientific expertise related to T cell immunology, immuno-oncology, cell therapy and sound technical fundamentals for basic immunology and molecular biology, mammalian cell culture and primary human cell workflows is required.
  • Expertise in standard immunological assays (flow cytometry, ELISA, MSD/Luminex, cytotoxicity assays, T cell functional assays) is required, as well as expertise in molecular biology techniques (cloning, cell line engineering) and gene editing (CRISPR/Cas9) techniques.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience in providing scientific and technical support to advance novel CAR/TCR T cell therapy programs from discovery to early development, utilizing expertise in molecular biology and T cell immunology, and via collaboration with cross functional teams is a plus.
  • Experience with FlowJo and Graphpad Prism and Geneious, a plus.
