About The Position

L3Harris is seeking a Senior Scientist, Systems Engineer that is a proven leader and SIGINT technical subject matter expert. The applicant’s duties will include product development, system architecture, proposal writing, technical over-sight, stakeholder collaboration among business development, manufacturing, engineering, and program management, while setting priorities for IRAD development through product roadmaps.

Requirements

Bachelor’s Degree with 15 years of strong leadership experience with Systems, and SIGINT/ELINT.
Graduate degree with 13 years of strong leadership experience with Systems, and SIGINT/ELINT.
In lieu of a degree, a minimum of 19 years of strong leadership experience with Systems, and SIGINT/ELINT.
Must be a U.S. Citizen.
Analog or RF hardware design experience includes tuners, receivers, antennas, amplifiers, up/down converters, and randoms.
Definition and generation of detailed hardware and software specifications for systems, subsystems, and key components.
Experience using standard Systems Engineering practices to architect, design, and document new systems.
Development of test planning/procedures of various test equipment including anechoic chambers, spectrum analyzers, and network analyzers.
Experience with EMI and environmental qualification testing as applicable to aircraft systems.
Excellent communication skills and ability to work effectively in a team environment.
Analysis of customer requirements, including system and sub-system trade studies.
Digital hardware design experience including FPGAs and processors.
Entire Program/Engineering Life Cycle Phases and Activities.
Requirements flow down to subsystems and components.
IRAD and Technical Baseline development, proposal development, technical communications, requirements management, and developing interface control documents.
Travel up to 10% of the time.
Ability to obtain and maintain a Top Secret with SCI. Clearance.

Responsibilities

Assist IRAD team in defining scope for adding capabilities to current products as well as creating new products to address emerging needs.
Collaborate with the different engineering disciplines to ensure that a broad perspective is used in decision-making.
Work closely with the customer to comprehensively design and implement new system functionality.
Provide Business Development with the material needed to create new business opportunities.
Provide technical oversight for execution of contracts to ensure program goals are achieved.
Participate in proposal teams to align the system approaches for maximum re-use.
Define ELINT products to support diverse program requirements.
Maintain product roadmaps and set IRAD development priorities.
Coordinates the use of contract budgets to enhance capabilities.
Facilitate the transfer of products from IRAD to production.
Can be used for responding to RFIs and RFQs.
Other duties as assigned by Supervisor.
