As a Senior Scientist – Collaborations Manager, you will be responsible for: Managing scientific collaborations at luminary institutions and driving joint collaborative projects that can lead to high impact publications, strategic data collection, expert feedback for future or existing products, extramural grant applications, or patent applications. Maintaining clinical and technical expertise in computed tomography (CT) - Collaborating both with CT R&D development teams and clinical partners for comprehensive evaluation and testing of developmental software & hardware prototypes and new products. Developing and maintaining working knowledge of clinical applications of CT such as Cardiology, Neurology, Oncology, Pulmonology, Pediatrics, Emergency, and Musculoskeletal. Long term development of in-depth knowledge in one or two clinical fields will be expected. Translate research findings into publications, conference presentations, and white papers to showcase the impact of Siemens Healthineers’ CT technology. Identifying, building, and supporting strong collaborative relationships with key opinion leaders (KOLs). Ensuring collaboration partners remain updated about relevant Siemens Healthineers technologies. Collaborate with radiologists, medical physicists, and other clinical partners to identify unmet needs and define study protocols that highlight CT technology benefits. Drafting, negotiating, and executing collaboration contracts with support from internal legal, regulatory, and compliance teams. Tracking milestones and deliverables of research projects. Maintaining an accurate budget of research contracts and conducting budget planning with appropriate colleagues. Partner with marketing and commercial teams to align clinical evidence with product positioning and value messaging. This position may suit you best if you are familiar with what is below, and would like to do develop your career with Healthineers: You have completed studies in the field of Medical Physics, Biomedical Engineering, Medicine and/or Computer Science and have a strong clinical and technical background in the fields of Computed Tomography, Medical Imaging, Artificial Intelligence and/or Radiation Therapy. Experience with photon-counting CT is a plus. You have the ability to take initiative and lead projects in multi-disciplinary groups. You have the desire to learn, ask questions, and be resourceful to identify innovative applications, develop own creative solutions to complex problems. You have experience presenting at scientific conferences and can write and critically review scientific literature. You are willing to take on administrative tasks and follow processes when needed. You are willing and able to travel up to 25%, including short term international trips.
