Zuora’s Business Systems team builds and scales the internal platforms that enable our Go‑To‑Market, Finance, and Operations teams to run efficiently and make data‑driven decisions. Salesforce — including Salesforce CPQ — is at the core of how we manage our lead‑to‑cash lifecycle, from opportunity through quote, order, billing, and revenue. As a Senior Salesforce Developer (CPQ), you will be a key technical contributor responsible for designing, building, and optimizing scalable CPQ solutions on the Salesforce platform. You’ll partner closely with Business Systems Analysts, GTM Ops, Finance, and cross‑functional stakeholders to deliver high‑quality features that improve quoting accuracy, deal velocity, and overall sales productivity. This is a location‑specific role with regular in‑office collaboration expected.

Requirements

  • 6–8+ years of hands‑on experience as a Salesforce Developer, with at least 3+ years focused on Salesforce CPQ in a complex, multi‑cloud environment.
  • Strong expertise in Apex, Lightning Web Components (LWC), SOQL/SOSL, and core Salesforce platform features (Sharing, Security, Flows, Validation Rules, etc.).
  • Proven experience designing and implementing Salesforce CPQ solutions, including: Product and bundle configuration Pricing methods (block, cost‑plus, tiered, etc.) Discounting strategies and approvals Quote templates and document generation
  • Experience supporting end‑to‑end quote‑to‑cash or lead‑to‑cash processes in B2B SaaS or subscription‑driven businesses.
  • Solid understanding of data modeling and transactional flows across Salesforce Sales Cloud and CPQ (Accounts, Opportunities, Quotes, Orders, Assets, Subscriptions).
  • Familiarity with integration patterns (REST APIs, Platform Events, middleware tools) and working with external systems (billing, ERP, CLM).
  • Strong problem‑solving skills and the ability to balance scalability, maintainability, and speed.
  • Excellent communication skills and experience collaborating with non‑technical stakeholders in Sales, Finance, and Operations.
  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field (or equivalent experience).

Nice To Haves

  • Salesforce certifications such as Platform Developer II, Salesforce CPQ Specialist, or Application Architect.
  • Experience with subscription billing, revenue recognition, or other finance/ERP systems.
  • Hands‑on experience with DevOps for Salesforce (e.g., Git‑based workflows, CI/CD pipelines, automated testing frameworks).
  • Background working in high‑growth SaaS companies or similar fast‑paced environments.

Responsibilities

  • Design, develop, and maintain scalable solutions on Salesforce CPQ, including product configuration, pricing, discounting, and approvals.
  • Implement high‑quality Apex (classes, triggers, schedulables, batch), Lightning Web Components (LWC), and Flows following best practices and coding standards.
  • Translate business requirements into robust technical designs and implementation plans in partnership with Business Systems and GTM stakeholders.
  • Optimize existing CPQ implementations to improve performance, usability, and maintainability (e.g., refactoring complex rules, simplifying bundles, improving UI flows).
  • Build and maintain integrations between Salesforce and other internal systems (billing, CLM, data warehouse, etc.) using APIs and middleware as needed.
  • Participate in code reviews, design reviews, and solution walkthroughs; ensure adherence to governance, security, and compliance standards.
  • Diagnose and resolve production issues, performing root‑cause analysis and implementing long‑term fixes.
  • Contribute to our SDLC practices (version control, CI/CD, automated testing) and help evolve engineering standards for Salesforce development.
  • Mentor junior developers and admins, sharing best practices around CPQ configuration and Salesforce development.
