About The Position

We are currently looking for a talented account executive focused on growing revenue and building new relationships with assigned Political Agencies and clients. Embedded within our Emerging Accounts Team, our Campaign and Causes vertical is one of Samsung Ads’ fastest growing customer categories. The ideal candidate should have a passion for the political arena, streaming video, expertise in data driven audience activation, and a pulse on new multi-channel advertising technologies. With the rapid growth of programmatic activation in Connected TV, this seller should be equally comfortable speaking in terms like PG, PMP, and DSP as they are with insertion orders. This individual must be able to think strategically, anticipate how buying decisions are made, uncover the business needs of key clients and have a proven ability to close deals. Additionally, this sales executive will be the consummate team-player and have the ability to work collaboratively across the sales organization within a fluid and fast-paced environment. Samsung has developed a proprietary ad platform that leverages unique first party TV data to help brands connect to their audience as they explore content across desktop, mobile, tablets and our SMART TVs. The Samsung Ad Platform delivers high-quality audience targeting powered by three key components: first-party audience data at scale, world-class data science, and brand-safe cross-device ad inventory. The individual should have a passion for video, advanced TV, and the rapidly changing way consumers are viewing premium content across all screens. It’s key to have a pulse on how the political landscape is thinking about and allocating candidate spend to video channels and what solutions they need to do so more seamlessly. This passion and knowledge will fuel the growth of both your and Samsung Ads’ business in both on and off cycle years. This individual should have existing relationships across the political agency buying community, including key senior level contacts. This account executive must be able to drive strategic decisions, anticipate how buying activations are made, uncover the business needs of key clients, and have a proven ability to drive spend through a Demand Side Platforms (DSP), Programmatic Guaranteed (PG), Private Marketplace (PMP), and Insertion Order (IO) buy types. This position will carry an annual revenue goal. This Campaign and Causes Seller position is based in New York City with domestic US travel as needed. You will report to our Emerging Accounts Lead. Requirements

  • Strong contacts and relationships within the political marketplace
  • Deep understanding of the video and connected TV media ecosystem
  • 7-12+ years of industry or relatable experience with a significant portion spent working at a video publisher or SSP
  • Proven track record of securing and growing spend from advertisers and agencies via all buy types: Demand Side Platform (DSP), Programmatic Guaranteed (PG), Private Marketplace (PMP), and Insertion Order (IO)
  • Successful internal and external relationship management
  • Experience working in both entrepreneurial and established corporate cultures
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, strong attention to detail, and good follow-through
  • Talent at explaining complex topics in simple terms in person, over the phone or video conference
  • Bachelor's Degree; MBA or other advanced degree a plus

Nice To Haves

  • Experience with selling or using video advertising platforms on the demand side (e.g. Trade Desk)

Responsibilities

  • Build strong relationships with named agencies, agency trading desks and our SSP partners
  • Develop a deep technical understanding of the Samsung Ads platform, capabilities, and unique inventory (including Samsung TV Plus & the Samsung DSP)
  • Create a plan to build and grow Samsung Ads’ business with named agencies and accounts
  • Continuously provide value to your customers and serve as a trusted consultant to drive advertising growth with Samsung Ads
  • Monitor daily run rate across assigned accounts and work with product and support teams to troubleshoot any issues
  • Act as an internal champion for your political thought-leadership across Samsung
