About The Position

Waters is looking for an Informatics Sales Manager who has been a proven leader to lead our North American Informatics sales team. This is a great opportunity to lead a team of outstanding sales and support people, while also getting to work of a company that is passionate about delivering benefit to our customers, employees, community and shareholders. The Informatics Sales Manager must be a highly motivated, results oriented Leader with proven ability to motivate and develop a field sales and support organization. Must have an ability to pro-actively identify and resolve problems, control costs, and maximize the efficiency of a sales team.

Requirements

  • Bachelors Degree, Masters, or PhD in scientific area such as chemistry, biology, or biochemistry preferred
  • At least 5 years direct sales experience with confirmed history of success. Previous experience selling CDS, ELN, SDMS and SaaS based solutions in a GxP environment preferred
  • Previous Sales Management experience preferred.
  • Experience with Waters Informatics Products, specifically Empower Software a plus
  • Shown success in a sophisticated selling environment, having sold either enterprise class software or high tech instrumentation
  • Knowledge in IT (networking, windows domain, client/server, database and cloud computing)
  • Strong solid understanding of the Pharmaceutical and regulated market space
  • Experience with CRM or other Sales and Customer platforms
  • Knowledge of various services and sales tactics, as well as broad base business and financial acumen.

Responsibilities

  • Direct sales and support responsibility for Enterprise Informatics revenue including achieving financial objectives for orders, sales, margin and spending budgets.
  • Responsible for collaboration with field and worldwide marketing groups to build a dynamic and aggressive business plan to improve market share, drive our next generation informatics products, and achieve budget in all geographic, product and market segments.
  • Establishes, reinforces and builds upon strategic customer relationships and Center of Innovations. A major responsibility will be to establish strategic relationships with the executive levels of major accounts and ensure that their direct reports establish and maintain these relationships as well.
  • Ensure a truly great customer experience. This includes making sure the sales and support teams are highly focused on customer engagement and success
  • Developing your direct reports so as to improve sales performance and enable career growth
  • Management of Field Sales Team and Key Customer Activities
  • Attainment of Assigned Annual Operating Plan, Forecasting, and SalesForce Compliance
