Sr Sales Engineers are responsible for providing subject matter expertise on the design and implementation of complex data networks, advanced managed solutions and cyber security solutions for enterprise class customers. Works as a collaborative member of the sales team to market and drive revenue through the Company's product lines. Provides insight to customers on current network solutions. Works closely with account executives on presentations and the technical design of customer solutions. Acts as resource for colleagues with less experience.

Responsibilities

  • Serves as Subject Matter Expert on all enterprise products.
  • Performs needs analyses for the Company and its customers and produces strategic, cost-effective solutions.
  • Works with appropriate internal organizations (Engineering, Product, Marketing, Provisioning and Operations) to develop and validate network designs in accordance with Crown Castle capabilities.
  • Supports Sales team with product modifications and engineering expertise for custom projects.
  • Reviews and validates all service orders before being submitted for implementation.
  • Participates in service order kickoff meetings to ensure smooth service implementation.
  • Provides timely, technical support and problem resolution for field and provisioning service questions.
  • Assists Sales Executives in the preparation, delivery and review of sales proposals and RFP/RFQ responses with prospects and clients.
  • Communicates customer feedback to Product Management for future product developments.
  • Researches and presents reports showing potential customers the cost benefit of purchasing company products or services.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience.
  • Industry certifications with vendors such as AWS, Versa, CompTIA, etc. a plus.
  • Proven success in technical sales with expertise in SaaS solutions including managed SD-WAN, managed security including DDoS mitigation, and fiber connectivity solutions.
  • Proven ability to translate technical features into business benefits.
  • Strong technical presentation skills (development and delivery).
  • Experience with computer software programs such as Microsoft Office Products including Excel & Visio & Mapping software.
