The Senior Sales Compensation Analyst role is responsible for driving the operational integrity of the sales pay plan, administering the end-to-end commission lifecycle, and ensuring accurate, compliant payouts. This is a critical role that serves as a subject-matter expert, resolving pay plan inquiries and acting as a strategic partner to stakeholders by providing consultative guidance on plan interpretation and design. This role drives continuous process improvement initiatives to optimize efficiency, strengthen internal controls, and mitigate risk in the sales pay plan administration.

  • Administer the end-to-end monthly commission cycle, overseeing the calculation, reconciliation, and final validation of payouts for designated pay plans, ensuring accuracy and governance of pay plans.
  • Serve as the primary point of contact for sales pay plan compensation-related inquiries, resolving issues, and providing clear, timely explanations to colleagues and managers.
  • Independently manage and execute escalated exceptions and sales commission adjustments, using sound judgment to recommend compliant and equitable solutions to management.
  • Act as a subject matter expert (SME) and mentor to other analysts, providing technical guidance, training, and quality assurance review to enhance analysts’ proficiency and ensure operational consistency.
  • Proactively analyze and audit commission activity and pay plans, share findings and recommendations with Compensation management.
  • Maintain standard operating procedures, manager guides, and leverage other technologies (e.g., ZenDesk) to provide internal partners (i.e., HR Partners) and external clients (i.e. Sales Management) with the necessary tools and resources to ensure adherence to plan documents and data integrity.
  • Drive continuous improvement initiatives for sales pay plan administration, focused on streamlining processes and optimizing system functionality.
  • Collaborate with Sales Leadership, Finance, HR, and IT stakeholders to provide consultative expertise on commission implications, model future scenarios, and influence the design and successful launch of new sales incentive programs.
  • Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Finance, Accounting, Human Resources or related field OR equivalent years of experience. Equivalent years of experience are defined as one year of applicable professional experience for each year of college requested.
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in sales compensation, with a deep focus on the administration and governance of programs.
  • Proven track record of handling high-volume transactions impacting accounting, finance, or compensation payment processes, from data validation to final calculation and inquiry resolution.
  • Exceptional analytical skills with the ability to interpret compensation data and identify trends.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to effectively partner with stakeholders at all levels of the organization.
  • Highly organized with meticulous attention to detail and a commitment to accuracy and compliance.
  • Proficient in Google Workspace and/or Microsoft Office, particularly advanced Excel skills for data analysis and performing calculations.
  • Move up to 10 pounds occasionally, by lifting, carrying, pushing, pulling, or otherwise repositioning objects.
  • Sitting for long periods of time while using office equipment such as computers, phones and etc.
  • Performing repetitive motions involving the wrists, hands, and fingers, such as typing, picking, and pinching, within your regular work environment.
  • Express or exchange ideas with others through the use of spoken word, quickly, accurately, and at an easily audible volume, and receive detailed information through oral communication at usual speaking levels without correction, and/or make fine discriminations in the nature of sounds in the environment.
  • Near-range visual acuity for detailed tasks and ability to perform activities with precision such as analyzing data, viewing computer screens or reading extensively.
  • Inside working conditions: The change of building environment such as with or without air conditioning and heating.
  • Demonstrated ability to take ownership of projects and drive initiatives to completion.
  • Demonstrated experience using an HRIS system (Workday) and ICM (Incentive Compensation Management) systems, such as Xactly or Callidus, preferred.
