About The Position

The Sr. Sales Compensation Strategy Analyst analyzes and evaluates current and historical sales compensation and goal data; to understand effectiveness, suggest/create and validate process improvements. This includes understanding sales compensation best practices and strategies, developing data modeling to forecast impacts of potential incentive plan changes and reporting to track current and historical performance. In addition, this includes analysis and execution of goal adjustments based on business requirements. Partnering with Compensation, Finance and other partners to understand internal and external factors that may affect sales performance.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Economics, Analytics, Math, Finance or related fields.
  • Professional with 2+ years of work experience in a B2C or B2B industry.
  • Background in analytics and demonstrated work with business metrics.
  • Database management including: Excel (can perform complex functions), Access, PowerPoint; experience with Power BI, Snowflake, SPSS, SQL, Python, R, VBA or Teradata.
  • Analysis and preparation of materials on go-to-market strategies for Grainger sales force organization.
  • Provide relevant insights directly or indirectly through strategy managers or other key business partner/leaders.
  • Develop strategies to lead revenue and share growth in targeted customer/prospect populations.

Responsibilities

  • Develop data models and analysis designed to track and evaluate incentive plan and goal performance on a monthly, quarterly and semi-annual basis.
  • Leverage insights to assist in developing recommendations for incentive plan modifications.
  • Work closely with incentive strategy design to assist with data modeling needs to support future changes.
  • Work closely with goal setting to analyze and execute sales governance processes and recommend improvements.
  • Partner with Finance and Sales to share insights and gain feedback.
  • Manages the regular execution of the PCAA program through delivery of final annual results.
