The Senior Safety Analyst is crucial for managing safety data critical to the department's operations. This leader is tasked with transforming complex datasets into actionable insights for management and leading the development of advanced data analysis methodologies and tools to enhance data quality and improve safety practices. This role supports department's strategic objectives through innovative, data-driven solutions, ensuring analytics development and comprehensive risk assessments contribute significantly to achieving organizational goals.

  • Oversee and administer the Risk Management Information System (RMIS), ensuring efficient data processing and the timely generation of key deliverables.
  • Develop internal tools for sophisticated management-level reporting on safety loss data, enabling informed decision-making at all levels of the organization.
  • Maintain robust communication with organizational stakeholders, including the VP of Safety, Region Safety Directors, Area Safety Managers, Operations teams and other key stakeholders to ensure alignment with organizational objectives and priorities.
  • Act as a liaison with managing data requirements and ensuring the integrity of organizational data.
  • Implement quality assurance processes to guarantee accurate accident/incident reporting within the RMIS, thereby enhancing data accuracy and reliability.
  • Drive the development of advanced data analytics models to identify trends and insights, driving continuous improvement in claims management and safety practices.
  • Manage all safety standard weekly, monthly, quarterly, bi-annual, and annual reports for all levels of management including senior management. This also includes ad-hoc reporting when required.
  • Conduct in-depth safety analyses using advanced data analytics methodologies and tools to support assessment and mitigation initiatives, ensuring data-driven decision-making for optimal results.
  • Produce detailed reports on safety performance for senior management, providing valuable insights and recommendations for process enhancements.
  • Leverage data insights for business development in the transportation sector and strategic initiatives.
  • Align with advancements in AI and machine learning to enhance risk assessment.
  • Other Responsibilities as required or requested by senior management.
  • Bachelor's degree in Statistics, Mathematics, Data Science, or a related field, or equivalent experience.
  • At least 4 years of experience in data analysis.
  • Demonstrated expertise in statistical analysis, predictive modeling, and machine learning.
  • Proficiency in Programming Languages and SQL, Tableau, Domo, Power BI, and Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Experience with CRM and business intelligence tools, such as Salesforce, with an openness to adopting and mastering emerging technologies and platforms.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills for effective remote collaboration across departments.
  • Proven leadership capabilities in managing and developing high-performing remote teams.
