About The Position
Aegis Worldwide is currently partnered with an automotive manufacturer.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Electrical, Mechanical, Mechatronics, Computer Science, or related engineering field.
- 5–7 years of Controls or Automation Engineering experience in a high-volume manufacturing environment (automotive BIW preferred).
- Strong PLC programming and troubleshooting experience (Rockwell, Siemens, or equivalent) and HMI/SCADA systems.
- Hands-on experience with industrial robots (Fanuc preferred), motion control, safety PLCs, and fieldbus networks.
- Knowledge of IATF 16949, PFMEA, control plans, and ability to standardize and document controls processes.
Responsibilities
- Provide hands-on troubleshooting and support for PLCs, robots, motion control, and vision systems to minimize automation-related downtime.
- Modify and optimize PLC logic, HMI screens, and robot programs to improve system performance, usability, and reliability.
- Support equipment upgrades, running changes, and control system updates with minimal impact to production.
- Lead root cause analysis for automation, throughput, and quality issues and implement corrective actions.
- Partner with maintenance, engineering, and production teams to maintain documentation, training, safety compliance, and continuous improvement initiatives.
