About The Position

Under the direction of Risk Technical Services National Manager/Team Manager, this position provides quality claims supervisory services and statistical data controls to the client or risk over field branch offices. Responsibilities include claim supervision of field adjusters, reserve controls, data corrections, data reviews to ensure accuracy, claim file reviews and audits, litigation management and rehabilitation evaluation, and claim authorization of claim payments. The role also involves assisting the Risk Technical Service (RTC) National Manager/Team Manager in the maintenance of assigned accounts, serving as a corporate claim liaison between branch office and client, and participating in the development of new accounts.

Requirements

  • Education equivalent to a college degree or equivalent work experience.
  • Five years previous experience as an adjuster or claim supervisor.
  • Minimum of four years vocational preparation.
  • Demonstrated ability to supervise the work of others.
  • Effective and diplomatic oral and written communication skills.

Responsibilities

  • Supervise field adjusters and manage claims.
  • Control reserves and ensure data accuracy.
  • Conduct claim file reviews and audits.
  • Manage litigation and evaluate rehabilitation.
  • Authorize claim payments.
  • Assist in maintaining assigned accounts.
  • Participate in the development of new accounts.
  • Review reportable claim files for proper investigation.
  • Evaluate claims from legal, medical, and financial perspectives.
  • Provide first-line supervision at the branch level.
  • Enforce reporting standards for claims reserved above authority levels.
  • Troubleshoot coding errors and review reporting level assignments.
  • Coordinate investigations with clients and RTC Manager/Team Manager.
  • Monitor and validate client data and claim listings.
  • Approve outgoing mail and maintain reference material.
  • Assist in field branch office inspections.
  • Resolve coverage questions with clients.
  • Handle client complaints efficiently.
  • Attend industry functions and uphold the company's professional image.
  • Comply with regulatory and licensing laws.
  • Continue educational pursuits for self-development.
