About The Position

As a Sr RF Engineer, you will be using your skills and expertise to design, develop, and test our complex products and technologies. These cover a very wide range from state of the art mission payloads and electronic systems through highly integrated aircraft to orbital and space exploration systems. You'll be responsible for Electronic Warfare (EW) systems analysis and design, radar propagation modeling and prediction, microwave path analysis, ELINT/SIGINT/ESM, and signal processing. Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree in Electrical Engineering or related Engineering discipline and typically 10 or more years of relevant experience.
  • Self-starter able to operate independently.
  • Working knowledge of systems engineering principles and practices.
  • Experience working in multi-disciplinary design and development teams.
  • Effective, concise, clear verbal communication with customers and internal stakeholders.
  • Strong technical writing and presentation skills for conveying complex technical concepts.
  • Good business acumen to articulate ROI and construct a business case analysis.
  • A minimum of 2-years design and development expertise with RF systems: Electronic Warfare, ELINT/SIGINT/ESM, Radar, Signal Processing.
  • An active Top Secret U.S. Security Clearance is required.

Nice To Haves

  • Masters of Science degree in Electrical Engineering.
  • Background in the Aerospace and Defense Industry, US Department of Defense and/or US Military.
  • Familiarity with preparation and development of project estimates, technical proposals, and project cost and schedule management.
  • Experience leading a multi-disciplinary design and development team.
  • Familiarity with technical baseline definition including trade studies and analysis of alternatives.
  • Familiarity with tools and techniques for rapid RF system prototyping and Design for Manufacture (DFM).
  • Experience with Ansys STK or AFSIM.

Responsibilities

  • Join a multi-disciplinary team executing a portfolio of small-scale research and development projects.
  • Deeply dive into a customer's problems and friction points.
  • Quickly conceptualize possible solutions and apply engineering rigor to assess trades between possible solutions.
  • Develop conceptual designs and articulate a realistic technical path to realizing a product.
  • Lead a 1-2 year project for detailed concept refinement and prototype building.
