About The Position

As a Senior Revenue Accountant at BambooHR, you’ll help create a revenue accounting environment that scales with our fast-growing SaaS business. In this role, you’ll apply ASC 606 to our product offerings, support a smooth and predictable monthly close, and partner across teams to ensure our revenue processes stay accurate, compliant, and ready for the next stage of growth. Requirements

• 3–5+ years of experience in revenue accounting or public accounting supporting SaaS clients
• Strong understanding of US GAAP, especially ASC 606
• Excellent Excel skills (pivot tables, lookups, formulas, etc.)
• Experience working with ERP or revenue recognition tools (e.g., NetSuite, Zuora)
• High attention to detail, strong organizational skills, and comfort working in a fast-paced environment

Responsibilities

• Own key parts of the monthly revenue close, including revenue schedules, journal entries, reconciliations, and variance analysis.
• Review contracts, order forms, and renewals to determine ASC 606 treatment and ensure timely, accurate revenue recognition.
• Maintain and update SSP studies and support the allocation of transaction price across performance obligations.
• Draft clear, well-supported technical memos and help maintain revenue accounting policies.
• Support internal controls and external audit requests related to revenue, deferred revenue, and contract assets.
• Partner with Accounting Systems, IT, and Operations teams to strengthen automation and data accuracy within NetSuite, Zuora, Salesforce, and related tools.
• Identify opportunities to streamline workflows, reduce manual adjustments, and improve the quote-to-revenue process.
• Prepare and maintain revenue waterfalls, roll-forwards, and management reports.
• Partner with FP&A to understand trends and support revenue forecasting.
