  • Bachelor's degree in molecular biology, biochemistry, or a related discipline, and 4 - 5 years of related experience, or Master’s degree with 3 years of related experience. Industry experience is strongly preferred.
  • Strong understanding of antibody discovery, preferably familiar with antibody structure and various antibody formats, including antibody fragments, bispecifics, nanobodies, scFvs, and antibody-drug conjugates (ADCs)
  • Previous experience utilizing molecular biology techniques including PCR, DNA purification and quantification, NGS, Sanger sequencing, and sequence analysis is required
  • Proficient in sequence analysis using platforms such as Geneious Biologics and Geneious Prime
  • Ability to effectively troubleshoot and optimize processes in order to meet a wide range of project needs
  • Ability to work independently, but also collaborate and effectively communicate within and across departmental teams
  • Exceptional written and verbal communication skills
  • Highly organized, detail oriented, and able to operate in a fast-paced and growing environment

Nice To Haves

  • Experience with primer design, recombinant protein expression, and plasmid construction is preferred
  • Experience in antibody engineering, including humanization, mutagenesis, and sequence optimization is preferred

Responsibilities

  • Provide molecular biology support for antibody discovery platforms, including hybridoma and Beacon technologies
  • Perform high-throughput PCR-based techniques for gene amplification and sequence analysis using bioinformatics tools such as Geneious Biologics and Geneious Prime
  • Conduct antibody engineering workflows, including sequence optimization, humanization, and mutagenesis
  • Design DNA constructs for downstream applications including immunization, transient cell surface expression, and recombinant protein expression and purification
  • Independently design experimental plans, execute complex workflows, and analyze large-scale datasets
  • Concurrently execute multiple antibody discovery projects requiring wet lab activities, data analysis, report generation and preparation of deliverables
  • Record and communicate experimental details, draft reports, and deliver data with a high level of integrity and ethics
