About The Position

The Sr. Regulatory Affairs Specialist will support compliance of AmRL-developed skin care products with local, state, federal, and international cosmetic and OTC product and packaging regulations. This will be done through formula review; copy and artwork approval; product registration/notification document generation; and process development for new/emerging regulations. Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree (BS or BA) in Science such as Regulatory Sciences, Chemistry, Biology, or related field science.
  • 2+ years in a Regulatory Affairs environment (personal care, pharmaceutical, research laboratory, medical device, food technology).
  • Strong written and verbal, analytical, organizational and interpersonal skills. Excellent communication skills to technical and non-technical groups.
  • Strong computing skills with experience using multiple databases.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience with SharePoint, SAP (Project Lifecycle Management (PLM) Module) and Access databases is a benefit.
  • Experience working in a matrixed, multi-site, international environment.

Responsibilities

  • Review and approve/reject copy documents, labels, and formulas for cosmetic and drug products to confirm regulatory compliance to applicable regulations in the United States, Canada, Europe, United Kingdom, Australia and other local regulatory agencies in the appropriate area of intended distribution.
  • Provide documentation to support product registration in core and export markets. Support post-launch inquiries from retailers, consumers, and authorities. Compile and analyze data in support of annual data reporting obligations.
  • Support Regulatory and Safety team members in tracking, analyzing and preparing to comply with new and evolving packaging regulations (e.g. Post-Consumer Recycled content, recycling and recyclability targets, extended producer responsibility, required/prohibited label elements, etc.). Contribute to projects that are needed to improve the performance of Regulatory Affairs in this area.
  • Support Regulatory and Regulatory Intelligence team members in tracking, analyzing and complying with new and evolving product regulations. Contribute to projects that are needed to improve the performance of Regulatory Affairs in this area.
  • Provide oversight and training, as needed, for contractor(s) performing artwork reviews and other tasks on the team's behalf.
