About The Position

The Senior Recruiter I leads the development/design/delivery of effective talent acquisition and diversity strategies, plans and programs for a portfolio and acts as a subject matter expert in own area of expertise. Focuses on specialized portfolio / niche capabilities and works independently as the senior subject matter expert. Provides advice and/or guidance to various stakeholders and team members and may coach and educate others. Considered a subject matter expert within a given area, focusing on medium-term issues (e.g. monthly-quarterly). Oversees and/or independently performs tasks from end to end, undertaking and completing a variety of projects and initiatives, which may include the integration of cross-functional processes within own area of expertise.

Requirements

  • Undergraduate degree.
  • 5+ years related experience.
  • Demonstrated recruiting experience in an HR setting or agency setting required.
  • Established network of contacts in Banking / financial services and executive circles preferred.
  • Proven interviewing experience required.
  • Demonstrated experience in capturing data and building a database of market data.
  • Extensive knowledge of recruiting and employment practices.
  • Knowledge of federal and state employment laws.
  • Proven ability to develop optimal relationships with associates and hiring managers.
  • Strong negotiation and facilitation skills.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills and proven ability to build and maintain business partnerships.
  • Computer literacy and proficiency in common PC applications including internet recruitment tools.
  • Excellent written and verbal communications skills.
  • Proven ability to source passive candidates.
  • Experience and ability to create networks and utilize social media.
  • Ability to work independently.
  • Proven ability to prioritize competing responsibilities and assignments using sound business judgment.

Responsibilities

  • Acts as the Talent Advisor for a designated portfolio, informing talent decisions with acute knowledge of the organization and businesses supported.
  • Manages end to end aspects of the recruitment process / specialized acquisition program.
  • Develops and executes innovative talent strategies, leveraging industry best practices and market data to proactively target qualified active and passive candidates.
  • Advises business leads on talent market gaps and provides insights on alternate practices and opportunities.
  • Executes on determined plans and provides insight/ guidance to clients on benefits of approach.
  • Maintains expert knowledge of HR policies, procedures and programs as they relate to recruitment.
  • Cultivates strong relationships with HR partners, HR CoE's and business stakeholders to understand current and future talent needs.
  • Maintains, analyzes and leverages accurate recruitment metrics and reporting to inform sourcing and recruitment activities.
  • Promotes TD brand in the marketplace through developing and maintaining strong candidate and industry networks.
  • Leads advertising and brand activities to attract talent, utilizing internet / intranet / social media and other recruiting tools as appropriate.
