About the position

Performs advanced technical assignments related to the maintenance and operation of diagnostic imaging units and other complex radiation-producing equipment found in a diagnostic imaging facility. Impacts imaging equipment functionality and performance of image quality control in Diagnostic Imaging.

Responsibilities

  • Responsible for oversight of all division equipment service issues.
  • Coordinates and oversees activities between service vendors and Diagnostic Imaging.
  • Assists with analysis and implementation of service contracts.
  • Provides direction to radiological engineers on equipment malfunctions and determines appropriate corrective actions.
  • Identifies operator errors and provides instructions/feedback to operators.
  • Provides follow-up and suggests resolutions for Quality Control (QC) issues.
  • Maintains parts and instrumentation inventory.
  • Reviews design, construction and electrical drawings by visually reading blue print drawings and product specifications.
  • Evaluates equipment purchases.
  • Assists with commissioning of new equipment.
  • Provides clinical systems network support and assists in ongoing development.
  • Other duties as assigned

Requirements

  • Associate's degree in Biomedical Technology or Electronics (May substitute required education degree with additional years of equivalent experience or training on a one to one basis).
  • Eight years experience in electronics or imaging equipment service, equipment installation, or construction management to include one year of supervisory experience.
  • If you do not have an Associate's Degree, you must have 10 years of related experience.

Nice-to-haves

  • Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Biomedical Engineering, Biophysics, Architecture or a related field.
  • With preferred degree, three years of required experience.
