About The Position

The Senior R&D Manager is responsible for leading the development and application of food technologies across the organization. This role balances hands-on project work with team leadership, with a strong focus on developing staff, driving key initiatives, and supporting overall R&D strategy. This position plans and oversees R&D activities to ensure projects are completed on time and within budget. The Senior R&D Manager is also expected to be a reliable resource across the business and a key partner to leadership.

Requirements

Bachelor’s degree in Food Science, Culinary Science, Biology, Chemistry, or a related field required; advanced degree preferred
15+ years of relevant experience
Strong leadership and team development experience
Solid communication and interpersonal skills
Proficiency in Microsoft Office; experience with AS400 and Lotus Notes is a plus

Responsibilities

Lead, coach, and develop team members
Oversee R&D projects from concept through completion
Identify and implement process improvements
Support and help manage the R&D budget
Contribute to annual planning and department strategy
Maintain regular communication with the Director team and cross-functional partners
Act as a go-to resource for technical and product-related questions
Take on additional projects or responsibilities as needed
