The Senior R&D Manager for the Data Science Team will lead our data-driven initiatives by leveraging advanced analytics and innovative methodologies. The right candidate will guide a team of data scientists, analytics professionals, and researchers in developing cutting-edge solutions to support our strategic goals. This position requires a strong technical background, expertise in data science methodologies, and leadership skills to foster collaboration and creativity within the team.

  • Lead, mentor, and manage a team of data scientists and researchers in the analysis, modeling, and interpretation of complex data sets.
  • Oversee multiple projects from conception through implementation, ensuring they are completed on time and within budget.
  • Drive the development of advanced statistical models, machine learning algorithms, and predictive analytics to enhance product offerings and operational efficiency.
  • Work closely with cross-functional teams, including R&D leaders, product management, and ISC, to integrate data-driven insights into business strategies.
  • Contribute to the strategic direction of the company by creating and implementing the roadmaps for implementing AI in material research.
  • Ensure data quality, integrity, and security in all projects, adhering to relevant regulations and best practices.
  • Establish and track key performance indicators (KPIs) to measure the impact of data science initiatives.
  • Master's or Ph.D. degree in Data Science, Computer Science, or related field.
  • At least 5+ years' experience working in the field of data science.
  • 5+ years leadership experience.
  • Understanding of Material research.
  • Background in Chemical development.
  • Ability to lead, motivate, develop and mentor others.
  • Experience with new product and technology development in a highly regulated environment.
  • Ability to analyze and solve complex and challenging problems.
  • Effectively operate in a matrix organization.
  • Experience working in global teams across time zones.
