About The Position

The Sr. Quality Systems Engineer will be responsible for leading cross-functional teams in support of all AS9100 Quality Management Systems certification activities, including auditing, planning, implementing and maintaining processes, systems, and developing command media. This role involves providing management system training and guidance to internal key stakeholders, assessing core business processes through internal audits, and managing corrective and preventive action processes to ensure compliance with SpaceX policies and procedures.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in an engineering discipline or physics.
  • 5+ years of experience implementing, managing, and auditing quality management systems.
  • Experience with AS9100 Quality Management Systems standard.

Nice To Haves

  • Strong technical writing skills and effective communication with management and technical teams.
  • Experience implementing core Quality Engineering principles.
  • Ability to lead and contribute independently with a strong work ethic.
  • Proficient with Word, PowerPoint, Excel, SQL queries, Tableau, or other data mining software.
  • ASQ - CQA - RAB certified lead auditor or training.
  • ASQ Quality Engineer certification.
  • Previous consulting and implementation of Management Systems experience.
  • Solid knowledge of root cause analysis tools for process improvements.
  • Experience coordinating customer audit participation.

Responsibilities

  • Lead cross-functional teams in support of AS9100 Quality Management Systems certification activities.
  • Audit, plan, implement, and maintain processes and systems.
  • Develop command media for quality management systems.
  • Provide management system training and guidance to internal stakeholders.
  • Assess core business processes through internal audits for conformance to policies and procedures.
  • Provide feedback to steering meetings to improve audit and project objectives.
  • Measure and monitor management system data and report on Quality System conformance status.
  • Manage corrective and preventive action processes to address nonconformances.
  • Interface with Government Customers on management system data and assist with audit observations.
  • Administer and maintain external documents and web-based subscription services.
