About The Position

The Edison Works Sr. Quality Engineering Operations Manager will drive quality metrics and performance for Edison Works (EW), including PSR, APPS, and Action Plan preparation and implementation utilizing FLIGHT DECK. They will direct projects and teams for timely resolution of quality issues, escapes, design change implementation quality impacts, RCCAs and other key/critical processes within GE Aerospace’s Quality Systems. They will prepare communications, lead events, and be an active part of problem solving processes. On behalf of EW Quality, they will help develop strategy and implement key metrics to deliver on business objectives across programs, actively working with EW shop and supplier Quality teams to execute, solve, manage, and improve quality performance. They will create standard work and best practices for how EW Quality integrates within and across IPT, and will apply working knowledge of GE Engineering, Sourcing, Project, Product Operations and Quality team relationships. Requirements

• Bachelor’s Degree from accredited college or university ( or a high school diploma/GED with a minimum of 4 years of Quality, Sourcing, Manufacturing and/or Operations experience)
• Minimum of 5 years of Quality, Sourcing, Manufacturing and/or Operations experience
• Candidate must be a U.S. Citizen
• Candidate must be able to obtain and maintain a security clearance.

Responsibilities

• Manage quality business metrics for across EW programs.
• Partner with EW Quality Leaders, CTHs, and team to provide support to Supplier Quality Engineers (SQEs), Suppliers, Shop Quality Engineers, and Shops to drive metric improvements.
• Mentors and facilitates Team Members for emerging QEMs, and other aspects of Supplier and Shop Quality team’s roles.
• Utilize problem solving tools to develop and manage action plans to meet key metrics.
• Support complex NPI and Production issues by leading coordination of resources, preparing communications, creating and closing action items.
• Developing specialized depth and/or breadth of expertise in own job discipline or field.
• Serves as best practice/quality resource.
• Has awareness of latest functional developments in own area.
• Works directly with EW Quality leader to implement and execute strategy and policy development to ensure mission success within area of responsibility.
