Sr. Quality Engineer - Systems and Audits Specialist

Our Space division in East Aurora, NY is looking for a Senior Quality Engineer – Systems and Audits Specialist to join our dynamic team! This Senior Quality Engineer will work closely with cross-functional teams to ensure QMS operational efficiency and audit readiness for our Fluid Controls Business Unit.
Requirements
- Typically requires a Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or related technical field plus 5 years of relevant experience ~OR~ At least 8 years previous Quality experience in lieu of the degree ~PLUS~ At least three years in process improvement, audits, and/or quality systems.
- Proficiency in quality tools (e.g., 8D, A3, 5-Why, Fishbone, Fault Tree).
- Solid working knowledge of AS9100/ISO 9001; experience with AS9145/APQP preferred.
- Strong analytical and prioritization skills.
- Excellent stakeholder management and communication abilities.
Responsibilities
- Review, assess, and provide guidance on QMS processes.
- Select and lead initiatives to modernize and optimize QMS process, working process owners and stakeholders, as required.
- Mentor and train cross-functional teams on QMS processes, tools, and methods.
- Create or revise QMS documentation, as needed.
- Ensure AS9100 and customer audit readiness for the Fluid Controls Business Unit.
- Support customer and third-party audit support, including leading corrective action investigations for QMS related findings.
- Monitor Quality Process KPIs
- Support additional improvement initiatives, as requested
